dc.description.abstractThe symmetry operations such as spatial inversion and time reversal are illustrated to understand or simplify problems which arise in engineering electromagnetics. Familiar examples are presented, followed by a new, important and surprising result of Graham and Raab on the interaction of the electromagnetic field with matter.
