The lower sedimentary sequence of the Transvaal Supergroup underwent multiple folding and thrusting along the southwestern margin of the Kaapvaal Craton, between Prieska and Boegoeberg Dam. This tectogenesis is expressed in three folding phases with successively diminishing intensities. Thrusting occurred during the first and second phase. The stratigraphy of these rocks needs to be reviewed, taking into account the complex structure. -from Authors
