Abstract
Lack of research to indicate the effectiveness of services, due to uncertainty regarding possible alternative approaches to effectively address the street children phenomenon. In this article, a dynamic, community-based-24 hour model is described which takes the services to the community itself and can be implemented in a synchronised, preventive and rehabilitative-educational manner. The findings indicate clearly that this approach has a positive impact on the street children, their families and the community.
