Abstract
A low-cost system for making cylindrical near-field measurements is described. The system is used for educational purposes and research on antennas of small and medium electrical and physical size. Both data acquisition and probable corrected near-field to far-field transformations are done on a personal computer. A sophisticated graphics package was developed to represent the fields in three dimensions. Experimental results for a sectoral E-plane horn antenna are presented.
