- ItemA combined mode-matching and method-of-lines procedure for the analysis of planar microwave circuits(Stellenbosch : Stellenbosch University, 1995) Meyer, Petrie; Stellenbosch University. Faculty of . Dept. of .
- ItemCompact high-power broadband absorptive filters using slotted waveguide harmonic pads(The Institution of Engineering and Technology - IET, 2014-06) Stander, Tinus; Meyer, Petrie; Van der Walt, Pieter Willem; Electrical and Electronic EngineeringA compact high-power broadband absorptive filter is designed by cascading a slotted waveguide harmonic pad with a wide stop-band reflective filter. Absorption is achieved by coupling a surface current standing wave to absorptive external auxiliary waveguides through a cascade of transversal broad-wall slots in rectangular waveguide
- ItemContributions to microwave passive component design(Stellenbosch : Stellenbosch University, 2019-12) Meyer, Petrie; Fourie, Coenrad; Stellenbosch University. Faculty of Engineering. Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The dissertation presents an overview of the publications of the candidate and his research group on design techniques and structures for microwave passive networks which have advanced the field in a number of a spects. They have also impacted materially on local industry. The work includes three main activities, namely numerical modelling and analysis of microwave structures, microwave filter applications, and microwave antenna applications. A particular focus is placed on structures supporting multiple propagating modes, as this has been a recurring topic throughout the career of the author. Firstly applied to microwave waveguide filters, h is most r ecent work extends multimodal concepts also to antennas. The modelling of these structures forms a crucial part of the design procedure, and also contributes largely to the ability of designers to exploit this behaviour to achieve added functionality and improved performance.
- ItemEtched ring absorbing waveguide filter based on a slotted waveguide antenna response(Wiley, 2008-04) Stander, Tinus; Meyer, Petrie; Electrical and Electronic EngineeringA cascade of resistively loaded etched rings in waveguide is proposed to act as the load in a balanced FMCW Reflected Power Canceller topology using a slotted waveguide array antenna. A synthesis technique using derived equivalent circuit models, is presented and tested.
