dc.description.abstract	It is a temptation – which I shall resist – to comment on each of the very diverse and stimulating contributions to this volume of Scripura. I therefore apologise beforehand for not doing justice to the individual authors and to the full spectrum of their views. In stead, I shall try to highlight from a very personal perspective some aspects that may be of special significance for the future.
