dc.description.abstractPulsation losses, which are very difficult to measure, are present in every squirrel cage induction motor and depend mainly on the geometrical design. This paper primarily deals with the question whether these losses can be calculated by means of numerical methods. For this purpose two induction motors that only differ in the slot design are measured at no- and full-load and compared with the computed results.
