dc.description.abstract | ENGLISH ABSTRACT: A study was made of the design of membrane contacting systems comprising non-porous polymeric membranes and the performance of such systems evaluated in various operations, namely; Oxygenation/deoxygenation of water, ethylene/ethane separation, and separation of liquid olefin/paraffin mixtures in the range of C4 to C10. A novel mass-transfer model for gas separation by such systems is proposed. Physicochemical principles of separation processed by means of such systems are discussed. | en_ZA |
| af-ZA |
