Termination of pregnancy is a common procedure worldwide. In the UK, termination is legal until the 24th week of pregnancy, and allowed throughout gestation in certain circumstances. Some infants aborted at the margins of viability (22 – 24 weeks’ gestation) show signs of life at delivery. We report an infant who survived abortion at approximately 23 weeks’ gestation and who survives long-term following many months of neonatal intensive care.en_ZA
