dc.description.abstractA right-sided rectus sheath haematoma developed during heparin therapy for deep vein thrombosis. Computed tomography of the abdomen provided accurate pre-operative images of the size and extent of the haematoma, and surgical evacuation thereof resulted in uneventful recovery.
