Abstract
The theme of God’s design in Luke-Acts developed on a variety of levels in the narrative. Its analysis requires a multi-faceted approach which leaves enough scope for a number of motifs to be recognised as aspects of the same central theme. The article discusses how various techniques are employed by the author of Luke-Acts to develop this theme and gives special attention to key phrases in the Greek text.
