Abstract
ENGLISH ABSTRACT: Farm tourism research in South Africa is a new field of study which falls within the realm of Leisure Geography. The diversification of existing agricultural activities to include tourism and recreation is well practiced overseas. this is especially true of Europe with France as one of the leaders in this field. Since the First South African National Farm Tourism congress held in 1987, more attention has been payed by South African farmers, tourism organisations and the general public to this new industry. This study was conducted in a portion of the South Western Cape Winter Rainfall region. Two tracts of land were demarcated, the First Zone 35 to 45km from Cape Town station and the second 110 to 120km away.
Twee dele is afgebaken.
