Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the role of managers in the Education Department, specifically their attitude towards the implementation of Life Skills classes. College students reflect enormous behavioural problems. This is a global trend. According to the “Special Session” declaration of commitment that was signed by the South African government in June 2001, 90% of the youth between 15 and 24 were suppose to receive Life Skills education (UNAIDS 2002). Unfortunately this commitment is not fulfilled due to a shortage of lecturers. The attitudes of educational managers will have to be addressed to solve this problem.
