Abstract
The knickpoint just to the south of Heuningberg was caused by an excessive load of alluvium that is being swept down and dumped into the main channel by the two tributaries, viz. the Small Berg River and the Vier en Twintigriviere. The additional load exceeded the transporting capacity of the main stream to such and extent that incision at the point was sucessfully delayed. -from English summary.
