Abstract
Mean monthly rainfall values for 200 rainfall stations were used in the analysis. The results were compared to those of the South African Weather Bureau (1972) which employed a different technique. Attempts to show that vector analysis is the more powerful technique. It possesses all the advantages inherent in quantitative statistical techniques, but it can also be applied to studies conducted at a variety of scales. -from Authors
