On symmetry in engineering electromagnetics

Cloete Johannes Hendrik (1998)

Article

The symmetry operations such as spatial inversion and time reversal are illustrated to understand or simplify problems which arise in engineering electromagnetics. Familiar examples are presented, followed by a new, important and surprising result of Graham and Raab on the interaction of the electromagnetic field with matter.
