dc.description.abstractA new species of Lobostemon Lehm. (Boraginaceae), placed in the section Grandiflori Levyns, is described. Illustrations of the macromorphology, leaf anatomy, indumentum and fruit, as well as a distribution map, are provided. The somatic chromosome number is 2n = 14. A key is proffered to distinguish between the four species now recognized in the section.
