dc.description.abstractThe design of broadside, uniformly fed, planar aperture coupled microstrip patch arrays is addressed. Individual elements were designed using Mstrip40, a MoM microstrip analysis program. Designing, measuring and performing a FEM analysis on a 3 GHz element successfully validated the procedure. 4 and 16 element, 9 GHz arrays were designed. Pattern and S11 measurements as well as theoretical patterns are presented.
