Abstract
Colonic atresia is a rare condition, and only 69 cases have been reported; 2 further cases are described. The first case was diagnosed late and operation was carried out 5.5 days after birth. An ileostomy was performed and a final anastomosis was carried out 9 wk later. The child is now 8 yr old and growing normally.
