Projection onto physical boson states in a collective subspace

Abstract
A projection operator in a collective boson space, which projects onto the physical subspace, is constructed. This makes it possible to identify spurious boson eigenstates by a simple prescription which does not refer to noncollective boson operators at any stage. © 1991 The American Physical Society.
