Dianin's compound trichloroacetonitrile clathrate
The the title compound [systematic name: 4-(2,2,4-trimethylchroman-4-yl) phenol-trichloroacetonitrile (6/1)], 6C18H20O 2·-C2Cl3N, the usual trigonal packing of the Dianin's compound host structure occurs. The guest is found in a host-guest ratio of 6:1. Cl ⋯ π interactions serve to order the guest, thus facilitating its structural characterization. © 2006 International Union of Crystallography.
