Information: a key resource in plantation forestry

Von Gadow K. (1989)

This article presents the view that information is a key resource in a long-term business such as forestry, which is subject to much biological and economic uncertainty. Examples are given of how foresters generate new information and how existing information is used more effectively. An example of a forestry data base system is also presented. -Author
