The management of type II diabetes.

Lombard L. (2005)

Type II diabetes mellitus is one of the most common chronic diseases seen by general practitioners. The seriousness of the disease and its consequences for the patient are often underestimated. Insight into the pathophysiology of the disease often helps to improve the management of these patients. It is therefore crucial to know how to treat insulin resistance and the associated metabolic syndrome. Knowledge of the different components of this dreadful syndrome is central to the success of treating these patients.
