Abstract
The rapidly changing scene as regards anatomical physiology and neurosecretory systems of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis is discussed. New neural polypeptide-like substances are daily added to a long list of known brain hormones. However, many areas in this particular system remain a mystery and present a firm stimulus for further research.
