Abstract
In this paper we consider measurements that were made using tidal gauges in order to construct tide tables. However, during the collection process, the measurements were corrupted due to the influence of the external air temperature. This led to the reported values being incorrect. It is shown how additional experimental data can be used to obtain estimates of the true values. Confidence intervals for these unknown true values are constructed using the bootstrap.
