Complementary output switching logic A new superconducting voltagestate logic family

Article
A new superconducting logic family, complementary output switching logic (COSL), is proposed. The family consists of AND, NAND, OR, NOR, and XOR gates. The performance of the gates is predicted with a procedure that evaluates the dynamic performance when all circuit parameters are randomly varied around the nominal values. The simulated performance of the gates is compared with modified variable threshold logic (MVTL) at 5 GHz and 10 GHz. The functionality and margins of the COSL gates are verified by measurements at low speed. © 1996 IEEE.

Fourie C.J.; Perold W.J. (2005)Although published research in COSL has stagnated, it remains a useful logic family for interfacing the much faster RSFQ family to hotlogic circuits. COSL has always been plagued by the absence of latches, and previous ...

Specification of a technology portable logic cell library for RSFQ: An automated approach
Gerber H.R.; Fourie C.J.; Perold W.J. (2005)Currently, when a new fabrication process becomes available, all logic cells have to be redesigned, reoptimized and laid out from scratch. This is a manual and time intensive process, which hampers the migration of RSFQ ...
